As the birthplace of legendary golfer Bobby Jones, it’s no wonder that Atlanta is laced with lush green golf courses. In fact, there are over 60 golf courses in the Atlanta area, making our city a golf destination. Meticulously manicured greens abound, and some of the best courses are just outside our front doors. Designed in 1972 by Mike Riley, Brookfield is a preeminent course in Roswell. Unsurprisingly, the course regularly receives rave reviews and was even home to a LPGA Tour Event throughout the 70s. With a rich history, Brookfield underwent a major renovation in 2000 which included new greens, a state-of-the-art irrigation system, new bunkers, and new tees. Beyond access to the course and several other neighborhood amenities, members of Brookfield can enjoy golf-themed activities and events including Couples Nights, Ladies Tournaments, and even European travel. Another membership perk? Brookfield is a part of the ONE program which gives members the opportunity to enjoy more than 300 other clubs within the network.

Country Club of Roswell

As if the lake views and lovely greens weren’t enough, Country Club of Roswell also boasts a series of other impressive characteristics. The golf club offers a comprehensive practice facility, three PGA professionals, one LPGA professional, full programs for men, women, seniors, and juniors, stunning bermuda greens, and most notably an 18-hole championship course. In addition to premier golf amenities, Country Club of Roswell also has a gorgeous clubhouse complete with multiple dining options, meeting space, and childcare. Members can enjoy the course year-round with tournaments throughout the year.

Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend was designed in 1974 by Joe Lee and was created to be a destination of sorts. Since its inception, Horseshoe Bend has hosted major tournaments including The PGA Champions Tour and The AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions which included players the likes of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. The course also has over two miles of scenic river views. Since renovating in 2011, players will find champion bermudagrass greens, a state of the art irrigation system, and new bunkers with enhanced construction technology that keeps the white sand, the same as Augusta National, pristine.

Atlanta National Golf Club

A course that embraces the history of the game, Atlanta National Golf Course is a well-respected course in the area. Atlanta National encourages players to walk without walking restrictions and with access to caddies. The club was created by father-son duo Pete and P.B. Dye and sits on 240 acres of land which meanders through streams and hills. In addition to being a fantastic course, Atlanta National offers private and group lessons along with a luxurious pro shop. Like Brookfield, Atlanta National is a part of the ONE network which allows players access to more courses around the country.
