If one thing is true of the Wright-Clinkscales team, it’s that we adore our dogs. In fact, we both have beagles, Chester and Walter. They’re cute, of course, but they are also very much members of our family. Needless to say, they’re both just a bit spoiled, but we love them just the same. While we don’t always take our pups out and about in town, our city is pawsatively dog friendly. Not only will you find bowls of water located up and down Canton Street, but Roswell has several BYOD (bring your own dog) shops and restaurants waiting to be sniffed out. You won’t want to miss these dog friendly Roswell spots:

Gate City Brewing: Beagles and brew, don’t mind if we do! Gate City Brewing is one of our favorite Roswell haunts. Besides having a rotating selection of beers on tap, their Friday tours and tastings can’t be beat. Their patio is pooch proof, and the brewery welcomes dogs just about anywhere. Curious if other craft breweries in the area welcome dogs? This list gives you all the ins and outs of where your dog can enjoy a bowl of water while you enjoy your pint of beer.

Leita Thompson Memorial Park: Of course we would be remiss not to include a park in our pup friendly places, and Leita Thompson Memorial Park fits the bill. The park boasts 2.1 miles of pathways that are dog friendly along with a dog park perfect for your pooch. Open 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM daily, this park is perfect for a quick spin with your pup before or after work.

Lucky’s Burger & Brew: This Roswell mainstay has been a watering hole for canines and their humans since 2010. In fact, the restaurant was inspired by the owners’ golden retriever, Lucky. Lucky’s not only allows dogs on their patio, they welcome them! They’ve even been voted the best dog friendly patio in Atlanta more than once. If you’re not in the Roswell area (although we wish you would be!), there are two other Atlanta-area locations for you to pull up to with your pooch.

Sugar Shack: Located behind infamous Fickle Pickle on Canton Street (the two restaurants share a parking lot), Sugar Shack is the place to be to beat the heat during the dog days of summer. This spot for sweet treats offers everything from donuts and coffee to cupcakes and ice cream. Dogs are welcome in their patio space, and you’ll often see pups their enjoying a lick or two of their owner’s ice cream.

The Georgia Pooch: Owner Maria Avula has been in the pet care industry for over 20 years, and her store is certainly a pup paradise. Along with offering a wide selection of dog necessities in the pet boutique, the Georgia Pooch welcomes dogs through their doors. A little shopping trip with your canine friend? Sounds like a Saturday well spent to us.

Roswell’s dog-friendly spots have us excited for summer with our pups. Who knows? You might bump into us at Lucky’s or Sugar Shack this summer…with our beagles in tow. Want to get your own paws on all of the dog-friendly Roswell fun? Let us know. We’d love to chat more about helping you find you and your pup a forever home in our town.
